Welcoming the New Year with Intention, Reflection, and a Journal Made to Hold It All
Welcoming the New Year with Intention, Reflection, and a Journal Made to Hold It All

Every year, right around this time, I feel the same gentle tug to slow down. Reflect. Reimagine.

There’s something sacred about the space between the end and the beginning when one year starts to close and a new one is waiting quietly to begin. I’ve always been someone who needs rhythm, especially during transitions. I’ve learned that my brain, my heart, and my creativity all thrive with structure, not rigid or restrictive, but intentional. And for as long as I can remember, I’ve planned my years in quarters. I map out my days, create goals based on how I want to feel, and break big visions into tiny steps. It’s how I’ve learned to manage my ADHD, my schedule, my energy and stay connected to my creative self in the process. But I’ve also always needed space for the messy stuff. The doodles. The random notes. The affirmations I scribble after therapy. The quotes I hear and don’t want to forget. The feelings that don’t fit in a box. The questions I’m still figuring out. And that’s what inspired this journal.

Not just a planner.

Not just a notebook.

But a space that holds both structure and soul.

Meet the Create Space Journal

This is more than a yearly planner. It’s a soft system for self-reflection, growth, and creativity. A space that evolves with you not something that tells you what to do, but gently asks, What do you need? What are you building? Who are you becoming?

There are two versions available in the Create Space Shop:

✦ Quarterly Journal — a focused version designed to support one season (3 months) at a time

✦ Yearly Journal — 500 pages of reflection, structure, and space for the whole year

Both versions follow the same intentional flow I use in my personal planning practice designed not just to organize your days, but to root you in your why.

What’s Inside the Journal

✦ Foundation: Vision + Intention

Start here. This section helps you imagine the life you long for, set goals that are rooted in your values, and design rhythms that support your reality not someone else’s idea of productivity.

✦ Quarterly Reflections

Each season, take time to check in. Realign with your goals. Reconnect with yourself. This helps you pivot with purpose instead of pushing through out of habit.

✦ Monthly Check-Ins

Pause at the start of each month to see what’s shifting. Reflect on your energy, your focus, your emotional landscape. Let this be your reset ritual.

✦ Weekly Pages

Track the practical stuff like your schedule, habits, little wins and also make space for how you’re feeling throughout the week. It’s both a planner and a pulse check.

✦ Self-Reflection Pages

These are scattered throughout the journal. They’re the deep breaths. The mirror moments. The pages that hold your truth.

✦ Free Flow Pages

No rules here. Use them for doodles, poems, notes, mind maps, dreams, or anything else that doesn’t need to make sense yet.

✦ Resource Guide

A soft place to land. Includes self-care prompts, mindfulness tools, and gentle ideas to support your growth, especially when things feel overwhelming.

✦ Notes Section

Extra space to capture anything else your mind or heart wants to hold onto.

Why I Created This

Because I needed it. I needed a journal that let me be both the planner and the poet. The list-maker and the feeler. The person who gets things done and the person who needs rest. I needed something that honored my ADHD brain and my creative heart. So I made it. And now it’s yours, too. If you’re someone who’s been craving a more grounded, self-honoring way to move through your year, this journal was made with you in mind. Whether you use it daily, weekly, or whenever life calls you to slow down… may it become your mirror. Your anchor. Your reminder that growth doesn’t have to be loud to be real.

Let This Be Your Year of Rhythm

Not hustle. Not burnout. Not pressure to “fix” yourself.

Just rhythm.

Reflection.

And the sacred practice of checking in with who you are becoming.

May this new year be soft, steady, and yours.

With care,

Ariel
