The Quiet Craft

I’ve been making candles since 2019.
Back then, it was just something I did for myself. A way to slow down. To bring intention into my space. To turn a quiet afternoon into something sacred. I didn’t think of it as a product or even a craft. I just knew that melting wax, blending scents, and pouring slowly into jars gave me peace. It grounded me. It felt like creating light, in more ways than one. And now, years later, that quiet ritual has become part of something bigger.
My soy candles are officially available in the Create Space shop.
It feels surreal to say that. Exciting. Vulnerable. A little scary.
Because while I’ve been making these candles for a long time, sharing them is something new.
Being seen is something new.
I think a part of me has always been afraid to fully step into the spotlight to let people into the things I’ve poured my heart into behind the scenes. But there’s something about this moment, this season, that’s asking me to show up in new ways. To offer my work with open hands, even if my voice shakes a little. So here they are! Hand poured, small batch, made with love and intention. Each candle has its own scent, its own mood, its own little story. For journaling. For unwinding. For long nights or quiet mornings. For creating rituals of your own. And honestly? It feels really beautiful to witness how far this small offering has come. From a private ritual to something I now get to share with others. There’s power in that kind of growth, the kind that doesn’t always look like a big announcement, but feels like a quiet unfolding. A slow, steady becoming.
If you’ve been following Create Space for a while, you know it’s always been about more than just art. It’s about healing. Presence. Honoring where you are. And these candles hold that same spirit. So whether you’re lighting one during a tough week or gifting one to someone who needs a reminder to slow down, I hope it brings warmth. I hope it reminds you to breathe. I hope it invites you back to yourself.
And for anyone else afraid to be seen, I get it.
Start small. Start soft. But start.
Your work deserves light.
With gratitude and gentle courage,
Ariel
